MEXC restricted countries: where MEXC is not available

MEXC's User Agreement says it doesn't provide services or accept registrations in North Korea, Cuba, Sudan, Iran, mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan and Canada, in the Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine (currently Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Sevastopol), or in countries under comprehensive EU or US OFAC sanctions or on the FATF call-for-action list. MEXC is also winding down service in the Netherlands. If you live in one of these places, don't open or use a MEXC account.

  • Countries and regions: North Korea, Cuba, Sudan, Iran, mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Canada.
  • Ukraine: only the Russian-controlled regions, which MEXC currently lists as Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Sevastopol. The rest of Ukraine is not on the list.
  • Sanctions: any country or territory under comprehensive economic or trade sanctions administered by the EU or the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and countries on the FATF list of high-risk jurisdictions subject to a call for action.

MEXC says the list is not exclusive and can change at any time.

Countries with limited access

MEXC's own restricted-countries article (updated 2026-10-08) adds cases that aren't outright bans:

  • Netherlands: MEXC is winding down. It asks users to move their assets by 31 October 2026, with final offboarding scheduled for 16 November 2026; fiat services were suspended in March 2026. Don't open a new MEXC account there.
  • Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines and Indonesia: not prohibited, but MEXC describes access as limited, and its app isn't listed in these countries. Check your local rules before using MEXC.

If you live in a restricted country

  • Don't register or trade on MEXC. Using an exchange from a place its terms exclude is a breach of those terms. MEXC also notes that users in restricted jurisdictions can't complete identity verification, which MEXC requires (see does MEXC require KYC?).
  • Don't try to get around the restriction. Hiding where you are doesn't change which terms apply to you. Pick a service that is permitted where you live.
  • If you moved after opening an account, contact MEXC support and ask how to withdraw and close it properly.

How loweef applies this list

loweef follows MEXC's list: a MEXC UID can't be linked to loweef from one of the 12 countries and regions above, whether that is the country you declare or the one you connect from. The six Ukrainian regions can't be separated from the rest of Ukraine by country code, so for them it is up to you to follow MEXC's terms.

If MEXC is available where you live, the MEXC sign-up guide shows how to open an account with loweef's code, which returns 55% of the trading fees you pay. Figures are estimates based on published rates, and rates can change prospectively.

Frequently asked questions

Is MEXC available in the UK or the US?

No. Both the United Kingdom and the United States are on the prohibited list in MEXC's User Agreement.

Is MEXC available in Malaysia?

No. Malaysia is on the prohibited list in MEXC's User Agreement.

Is MEXC restricted in all of Ukraine?

No. Only the Russian-controlled regions are on the list: currently Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Sevastopol.

Can I keep using MEXC from a restricted country if I connect from somewhere else?

No. Masking your location to reach an exchange that excludes your country breaches its terms, and MEXC will not verify the identity of users from restricted jurisdictions. Use a service that is permitted where you live.
