MEXC referral code vs invitation code: is there a difference?

No — they are two names for the same thing. MEXC's help center calls it a referral code; guides and some translated screens say invitation code or invite code, and the person behind it is your referrer, or inviter. Whichever label you see, it is one string that links your MEXC account to a referrer: at sign-up, or within 30 days afterwards on MEXC's Self-Service Referrer Linking page.

One code, several labels

  • Referral code — the term MEXC's own help center uses.
  • Invitation code / invite code — the same string under another name. MEXC's wording around it follows the same idea: your referrals are listed under My Invites, the person you're linked to under My Referrer, and the self-service linking page lives at mexc.com/support/bind-inviter.
  • Referral link — a sign-up link that carries the code for you. The loweef MEXC link carries it as a parameter in the address, so opening it before you register fills the code in. The code itself is shown in the MEXC sign-up guide.

A code entered by hand and a code delivered by the link create the same binding.

What is not the same thing

  • A UID. On the Self-Service Referrer Linking page, MEXC accepts either the referrer's code or the referrer's UID. Your own UID is different again: it's what you find in your MEXC account and link in the loweef dashboard so your trading can be matched.
  • Promo, event or reward codes. Codes from campaigns are separate from the referral field. Typing a referral code into a promo field doesn't link anything.

When the code counts

  • At sign-up — in the referral code field of the registration form, or automatically through the referral link. If the form shows the field, check it before you submit.
  • After sign-up, within 30 days — on the Self-Service Referrer Linking page, for main accounts that registered without a code. The referrer must have registered before you, and accounts with the same identity information can't be linked. Once confirmed, the link can't be changed. Details: can you add a MEXC referral code after registration.

These are MEXC's rules and MEXC can change them. If a code seems to be ignored, see why a MEXC referral code seems not to work.

What the code decides

Whatever it's called, the code decides who receives the referral commission from your trading fees. It doesn't change MEXC's fee schedule. Linked to loweef's MEXC code, 55% of each trading fee you pay comes back to you — part credited by MEXC directly to your MEXC account, part by loweef daily in USDT (how the MEXC payback works):

Exchange Total rate Welcome boost Effective taker
AlphaX 65% — 0.0175%
BingX 60% 70% 0.0200%
OKX 50% 60% 0.0250%
MEXC 55% 65% 0.0180%

Figures are estimates based on published rates; actual results vary with maker/taker mix, and rates can change prospectively.

Frequently asked questions

Is a MEXC invite code different from a referral code?

No. It is the same string under a different label. MEXC's help center calls it a referral code, and it links your account to one referrer either way.

Can I use a UID instead of a referral code on MEXC?

Yes, on the Self-Service Referrer Linking page: MEXC accepts the referrer's code or the referrer's UID there, within 30 days of your registration, for main accounts that signed up without a code.

Does the MEXC referral link do anything the code doesn't?

No. The link carries the same code and fills it in for you at sign-up, so the binding is identical. It only saves typing — and avoids typos.
