If a futures bonus pays my trading fees, do I still get a fee rebate?

No — expect no rebate on any fee a bonus pays. MEXC states it directly: "Trading fees covered by Futures bonuses are not eligible for commission rebates," and the same applies to fees offset by its fee vouchers. BingX says trading volume generated with its Perpetual Futures Bonus "will not incur any trading fee commissions." A fee rebate is paid from the commission the exchange reports on fees you actually pay, so bonus-paid fees leave nothing to share. The catch on MEXC is the order of use: while you hold both USDT and a bonus, the bonus is used first to cover trading fees, funding and realized losses.

What the exchanges say

MEXC ("Usage Instructions for Futures Bonus, Position Airdrop, and Vouchers", MEXC Learn, 21 September 2026):

  • Futures bonuses can be used to offset trading fees, funding fees and realized losses, and as margin when your USDT is not enough.
  • "Trading fees covered by Futures bonuses are not eligible for commission rebates."
  • "Trading fees offset by Fee vouchers are not eligible for commission rebates." A fee voucher is applied only if its value covers the whole fee.
  • Bonuses work only on USDT-M futures. The bonus itself can't be withdrawn and is revoked when it expires; profits made with it can be withdrawn.
  • Moving assets out of the futures wallet before the bonus is used up forfeits all of the remaining bonus.

BingX ("What Is Perpetual Futures Bonus", BingX support):

  • "The trading volume generated with Perpetual Futures Bonus will not incur any trading fee commissions."
  • Bonus positions may still pay funding fees.
  • Bonus orders work only in isolated margin mode and only as market orders. The bonus can't be withdrawn; the profit from it can.

Why the bonus-paid part earns nothing back

A fee rebate is not a separate payment from the exchange to you. The exchange pays its partner a commission on the trading fees your account generates, and the rebate service passes part of that commission back to you. Both exchanges say the bonus-paid part of your fees produces no commission. With no commission on that part, there is nothing for any rebate service to share — whatever the advertised rebate rate.

The part people miss: which balance pays first

On MEXC, when your account holds both USDT and a futures bonus, the bonus is used first to cover trading fees, funding fees and realized losses, while USDT is used first as margin for new positions. In practice, as long as a bonus balance is left in your futures wallet, the fees on your USDT-M futures trades are taken from the bonus before your own funds — and those fees earn no rebate, even though you are trading with your own margin.

So a rebate that looks low for the first days after you claim a bonus is usually not missing. The fees were paid by the bonus. Once the bonus is used up or expires, fees come from your own balance again and the rebate follows them.

How to check it in your history

MEXC records bonus deductions in your transaction history, and a fee, loss and funding deduction can appear merged into one entry. In the app, MEXC lists the futures bonus balance under USDT in the futures wallet, and the futures capital-flow history can be filtered by bonus. Compare the dates of bonus deductions with the days your rebate was lower than expected. For other reasons a rebate may not show up, see fee rebate not received.

Should you still use a bonus?

A bonus is a promotional credit with its own rules, not a substitute for a rebate. Using it is your call; just plan with three facts:

  • Fees it pays are not rebated, so don't count that volume in a rebate estimate.
  • Withdrawing from the futures wallet early (on MEXC) cancels what is left of it.
  • On BingX it only works with market orders in isolated margin, so you can't use limit orders or cross margin with it — see isolated vs cross margin fees.

Deposit bonuses and fee-rebate vouchers follow different rules again — see fee rebate vs deposit bonus and trading-fee rebate vouchers. Promotion terms change, so read the current rules on the exchange's own page before you rely on them.

Frequently asked questions

Are fees paid with a futures bonus rebated?

No. MEXC says trading fees covered by futures bonuses, and fees offset by fee vouchers, are not eligible for commission rebates. BingX says volume generated with its Perpetual Futures Bonus will not incur any trading fee commissions. Expect no rebate on that part of your fees.

Why is my rebate low right after I claimed a bonus?

On MEXC, when you hold both USDT and a futures bonus, the bonus is used first to cover trading fees, funding and realized losses. Fees taken from the bonus earn no rebate, so the rebate usually returns to normal once the bonus is used up or expires.

Can I withdraw a futures bonus?

No. On both MEXC and BingX the bonus itself cannot be withdrawn, but profits made with it can. On MEXC, moving assets out of the futures wallet before the bonus is used up forfeits the rest of it.
