Do fee rebates work for API and bot trading?

It depends on the exchange. A fee rebate is paid out of the affiliate commission an exchange generates on your fees, and exchanges treat API orders differently: MEXC excludes all API trades (spot and futures) from affiliate commission, so API trades on MEXC earn no payback. OKX counts API orders the same as web and app orders, so you get the same 50% of your fees back either way. BingX also includes API orders, with payback calculated from the commission BingX actually reports for them.

Why the order source matters

A rebate service does not pay you out of its own pocket. It shares the affiliate commission the exchange pays on the fees your account generates. If an exchange decides that a type of order generates no commission, there is nothing to share, no matter how much you trade.

API trading is the most common case. Many exchanges price API flow differently, and some leave it out of their affiliate programs entirely.

Exchange by exchange

  • MEXC: API trades excluded. MEXC's affiliate rules state that trades placed through the API do not count toward affiliate commission, for both spot and futures. MEXC confirmed this in writing in October 2026. Web and app trades on MEXC are rebated as usual. Whether MEXC's built-in grid bots and copy trading count as API trades is not confirmed yet.
  • OKX: API orders included. OKX does not exclude API orders from affiliate commission, so they earn the same 50% as manual trades. OKX does exclude market-maker and broker accounts and the highest VIP tiers.
  • BingX: API orders included. API orders generate commission on BingX. loweef calculates payback from the commission BingX actually reports, so the amount per API trade can be lower than for a web or app trade of the same size.

If you trade mainly through the API

Pick an exchange where API orders count. Of the exchanges loweef supports, OKX treats API and manual orders the same way. You link your UID once, run your bot or script as usual, and payback accrues daily in USDT.

If you already trade on MEXC through the API, a rebate service cannot change MEXC's rule. Only the trades you place on the web or in the app will earn payback there.

How to check it on your own account

Link your UID, place a few API trades, and check the daily payback lines in your loweef dashboard the next day. Payback is based on the commission the exchange actually reports, so the dashboard shows exactly what counted.

Exchange rules change. This page reflects each exchange's published affiliate terms and partner confirmations as of the date above.

Frequently asked questions

Does MEXC pay rebates on API trades?

No. MEXC excludes all API trades, spot and futures, from affiliate commission, so API trades on MEXC earn no payback. Trades placed on the MEXC website or app are rebated as usual.

Which exchange is best for fee rebates on API trading?

Of the supported exchanges, OKX treats API orders the same as manual orders, so you get the full 50% of your fees back on them. BingX also includes API orders, with payback based on the commission it reports.

Do trading bots count as API trading?

Bots you run yourself through API keys are API trading. Built-in exchange tools such as grid bots or copy trading can be treated differently; on MEXC their status is not confirmed yet.

Can I see which of my trades earned payback?

Yes. Payback is calculated from the commission the exchange reports for your UID each day, and the daily lines in your loweef dashboard show what was credited.
