What a Bitget referral code gets you today
According to Bitget's official Referral Program page, the current program pays task-based rewards: USDT bonuses, coupons and trading-fee discount vouchers, credited as your invited friend completes specific tasks, plus Mystery Boxes that may contain cash rewards or fee-rebate vouchers. There is no cap on how many people you can invite — but the rewards are one-time events tied to tasks, not a running percentage of anyone's fees.
What changed in 2023
Bitget's official termination notice states that the old referral scheme — recurring commissions on referred users' trading fees — officially ended on February 28, 2023, including commission settlement for existing referrals. It was replaced by the task-based reward scheme above. The notice explicitly says the change did not affect the separate Partner/Affiliate Program.
That Affiliate Program still pays ongoing commissions (Bitget's policy page says up to 50%, calculated on a net basis) — but it is application-based, aimed at influencers and community leaders, and requires approval. It is not something a regular trader gets by entering a code at sign-up.
